Peer Review #2
For peer review, this week I was asked to give feedback on two different blogs instead of just one, both blogs I read were very well written, and I enjoyed reading both, this also made it harder to give feedback on them as there was not much too critic. The blogs that I gave feedback on had two very different themes, one blog discussed media ethics and the other was about cameras. The blogs also had two very different styles of writing, one blog was written as if it was being presented to an audience, while the other blog felt as the writer was speaking to just the reader. It was nice to see how other students’ blogs are written, and seeing their blogs helps me structure my and give me ideas on different ways I can approach writing my blog. I noticed as I was reading the blogs and giving my feedback on their blogs that there were many ways I could improve my blog, for example, the addition of an intro and outro to the blog makes it look a lot better. I feel like the peer review help me notice what I’m doing wrong in my own blogs by comparing them to the blogs I have read, and this will help improve my blogs in the future as a result. Not only that, but I noticed that I learn more about my writing from giving feedback rather than reviving it, and I am starting to enjoy giving feedback more as a result, but it is still helpful to receive feedback from my peers. Likewise, I have also noticed from giving feedback that it is a lot harder to give constructive criticism on the blogs I have read because they were already very well written in my opinion, so giving positive feedback is what I mainly did.
