 Over the last few weeks be, and my group have struggled to get much of the project has we have all been busy and unable to meet up this was due to having other exams and projects due. We did agree to try to meet one of the weeks, but it was cancelled due to storm Barra, and we talked online instead. We have all recorded our part in the video separately at home and discussed how the video will be laid out. Not only that, but we have decided that we will show some images during our video, so it will be more interesting to watch rather than us just talking for the whole video. I am currently editing the video still as my group only sent the videos earlier today. This will be the first draft of our video and I will be sending it to my group tomorrow, so I can get their input before we finalize the video. My group emailed me their videos in clips to make it easier for me to edit, and they have attached another file with the images they would like to be shown as they speak in the video....

 This week for our blog works we are continuing the topic of media ethics but this week we are focusing on the topic of representation in media and how it affects all people in relation to gender, age, sexual orientation, ethnicities, cultures, nationality, religion and creed. Some of these groups are underrepresented and unfairly represented in today’s media, and the videos we were asked to watch showed this. Video one: The first video titled “Why Representation Matters” was a short video with many different speakers who were all asked the same question “Why Representation Matters”. My favourite opinion from this video was given by Jasmine C. Leyla, in short, Jasmine said when you create spaces online where people of different races, body types and different sexual orientations don’t exist you are creating a lie that is harmful to the viewer.
